Goal Setting with The Emperor and the Angels
Welcome to 2020!
I know we have been here for over a week now, but I haven’t had the time to actually sit down and write this thing!
You can glean from the title that we are going to be talking about Archangels Michael and Uriel, The Emperor, and what it means for us.

Archangel Michael from The Angel Tarot and Archangel Uriel from the Archangel Power Tarot
2019 was a 12 Year, which associates us with the Hanged Man in the major arcana. So, if 2019 felt a little off kilter or like you were treading water, that is why. The hanged man doesn’t move. He gracefully swings by his feet while offering you a chance to reconnect with your true perspective. Likewise, if you felt turned upside down and shaken like a mother fucker, that’s his energy as well. However, you moved on, you’re here. Now let’s get down to business (to defeat the huns) with the Emperor and Archangels Michael and Uriel.
2020 (2+0+2+0=4) brings us the gift of things being set right. The Emperor doesn’t fuck around, nor do they entertain bullshit. Much the archangels associated with the cards in the Angel Tarot and Archangel Power Tarot, Michael and Uriel, the Emperor gives us the chance to clear away the nasty shit that we have been carrying with us and brings us the gifts of structure, logic, willpower, determination, and ambition.
Associated with the sign of Aries, the headstrong, independent, and steadfast goat of the Zodiac, The Emperor comes to help us sweep up all the dirt, and tie up loose ends. Much like the sign of Aries brings us Spring, the Emperor brings us the opportunity to do some spring cleaning. This includes your mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional spaces. Don’t carry things that aren’t yours to carry any more. Ask yourself “Is it logical to carry these burdens?”, “How does carrying these burden negatively impact me and those around me?”.
How does this work with Angels? I am so glad you asked. Michael and Uriel (I’m going to call them the Sparkly Strong Arm of Heaven) can add that Angelic boost act you are looking for to help you achieve your goals and leave behind the things that are longer serving you, while helping you remain accountable for the the situations that you perpetuated, and they do it in a loving way.
Archangel Michael is the bouncer of heaven, no negativity gets though him.
Archangel Uriel is the Light of God, nothing escapes him. He can make sure you hit your mark!
These two angels can bring you into powerful alignment with the Emperor energy of 2020 by aiding you to only work on what is going to further your path. If something is a dead end, leave it alone and walk away. If you are setting goals this year, ask Uriel to shine is light on them and ask Michael to protect not only your goals, but your personal energy field as you move through this year.
Working with the Sparkly Strong Arm of Heaven (SSAOH) is a guaranteed way to align with the Emperor energy and to see your goals come to fruition. Oh, you want an exercise to help you? I’m glad you asked!
What you will need:
Pen
2 Pieces of Paper (or a notes app)
Tea Light Candle (if you want)
An Emperor Card (Picture or Physical Card)
1: Write down your goals on one piece of paper
2: Place the Emperor card on top of your goals (or simply draw the Aries Glyph and the number 4 on it if you don’t have access to a card)
3: Visualize Gold Glittery Light and Bright Purple light covering your goals. These are the colors for SSAOH.
4: If you feel comfortable say the following prayer: “ Archangels Michael and Uriel (or Sparkly Strong Arm of Heaven), Please bring attention to my goals. Help them come to fruition in my mind and in my energy field so that I can see them in the physical world. Please protect my goal from any lower vibrations and negative energy and show me the next actionable steps to achieve these goals in the way that Emperor would. Thank you for helping me to remain focused, steadfast, determined, and dedicated to my goals and for helping me see them through. So it is”
4: After you either say the prayer, or sit with the Gold and Purple Light for a while, take out your second piece of paper and immediately begin to write action steps that feel good to you. Let your pen be guided by the Archangels.
5: Once you are finished, keep your goals and actions steps in a place where you can see them and know that the Angels have your back!

Step Up, Stay Grounded, and Get to Work!
Hey guys. It’s no secret that in the recent months tragedy after tragedy has occurred, leaving us feeling scared, vulnerable, and uneasy. Some of us feel these things more than others, and that is okay. Some of us try to block it out and ignore it, and that isn’t okay. As lightworkers, we are going to be confronted with negative situations and we have to know how to handle them, or we won’t be very effective in our healing work.
Our job description is to help the world and be able to spread light and love to heal all that is wrong. We can’t do this by blocking out negativity. Think of a wave of water coming at you, if you anchor yourself into the sand, you have a better chance of staying on your feet when you are anchored.
That is what grounding does for us! By grounding, we remain unmovable in our beliefs and in the light that we are here to spread.
So how can you remain grounded? I’m glad you asked.
- Unplug from the media and technology. It is so easy to get engrossed in your computer, phone, tablet, tv, and whatever else you have. While these things aren’t bad at all (I work at Verizon so they literally help me pay bills) but they are tools that can bring us down and keep us in a cycle of fear energy that we don’t need.
- Take a walk in nature. So this may seem obvious but it can really help to connect with nature and just relax. However, if it is too hot to go outside, then listen to nature music, spend time with your pet, get a plant, something to bring nature to you.
- Ask for help! Know that your Angels are ALWAYS around you and WANT to help you! Sometimes we get lost in all of the hurt and confusion of the world and we wonder where our help is. The answer is all around us. I am so guilty of this. I sit back and wonder, why is this happening? And then I realize that I have a small part in helping this, just like you do. We can ask our Angels to help us get, and stay, grounded and they WILL reply.
- Meditate. This is a hard one for a lot of people, myself included, to do consistently because life does get in the way and we lose our priorities along the way. This isn’t a beat up, but we all do it. Meditation is wonderful for connecting us to Source/God/The Universe and our Angels to receive messages that can help the world grow and help us grow stronger.
- This is one of my favorites to do. You can actually do this as you are sitting down at work, home, or school. Visualize roots coming out of your feet and stretching into the Earth. Take deep breaths in and out and do this for as long as you can, need, or want to.
- I asked the Angels for a message and they said this: “Be Present”. This is remarkable because how often to we worry or think about the future? Way too often. We are hardly ever just present in the moment and we aren’t THANKFUL and GRATEFUL in that space. It’s cliche but true when they say “The Present is a gift”. This is SUPER important to remember because when we take it moment by moment and stop worrying about things that are out of our control, that helps us remain grounded and centered in our bodies and spirits.
- Sending Light to the world. When you do see those horrible news stories, send light to that location and to the people involved. Then CUT YOUR CORDS TO IT! Don’t let it remain a part of your energy field and aura.
- Carrying on from the previous, cut your cords to any place and any person that causes you unrest and don’t be sorry about it. We as lightworkers and sensitive people often feel like we have to be the ‘listening ear’ to ever damn thing in the world and that IS NOT true! If you feel like you are being drained energetically, just walk away. It isn’t rude to put your energetic and spiritual needs FIRST! In fact, you NEED to. You’ve got this! Ask Archangels Michael and Metatron to help you with this, and then ACT on what you think, feel, hear, and see as guidance comes to you.

Connecting with Angels
Whether you are a seasoned pro at Angels like Doreen Virtue, or a complete and total novice having only heard of Angels in Church or not at all, we can all benefit from knowing how to connect with Angels in all of the many different ways that are available to us! That’s what this post is all about!
So, let’s lay some groundwork, Angels are basically messengers of God. They are extensions of Divine Energy, Light, and Love. So there is nothing to be afraid of in asking for their help. Don’t pay attention to the crazy people who claim that Angels belong to a certain belief system either, that is just B.S. Angels are nondenominational and you do NOT have to be a perfect little boy or girl for them to help you. So know that no matter who you are, or what you have done, they are ALWAYS willing to help you!
While there are literally zillions of ways to connect that are unique to each person, I am going to cover only a few.
Asking for Help
The first of these seems really easy (because it is) because it is simply ASKING! That’s right. Asking. By just asking for help, you open yourself for a multitude of heavenly hosts to sweep in and lift out of trouble. Of course, we have to know that an Angels isn’t going to come down in all of its heavenly glory and help you get out of a speeding ticket, that isn’t what they are for. Now, don’t get me wrong in saying that they WON’T help with that, they can, if you were maybe distracted or having a bad day, but not if you were intentionally speeding, as that could hurt someone else potentially. Angels aren’t that ‘Get out of Jail Free Card’ that is at your disposal day and night. They are beings that truly care for you, want to help you, and want to see you succeed and have a beautiful life!
This brings me to Free Will. The Angels can only help us if we ask, unless it is a case for Divine Intervention and they need to step in to save your life or something like that. If you are looking for a new job and are wondering why the Angels aren’t helping you, stop and ask yourself if you actually ASKED them for help. If you did, then don’t take the silence personally, they are just working for you bringing you what you desire in the right time table for Heaven. If you didn’t, then go ahead and get on that! It’s amazing that sometimes just asking for help seems like too much, like we don’t have time for it and then we wonder why things go to hell in a hand basket. Angels are standing around you at all times, Angels that are ASSIGNED to YOU and ONLY YOU, and they want to be put to work! Don’t ever think that you are asking too much of your Angels, they were made to help you!
Clairvoyance
This means that you ‘see’ the Angels clearly and that you ‘see’ the messages that they have for you. This happens in your mind’s eye, like a movie in your head. This can be a tad overwhelming for a lot of people when it first happens because you don’t know what to expect and you are worried that you are going to see something negative. i can assure you that, if you ask for protection, you won’t see anything scary. So, without getting way too deep for a ‘101’ post, You can just ask your Angels to help you be able to see them and then pay attention to what you ‘see’ when you look at other people or even when you ‘zone out’. You may start out seeing colors, and that is GREAT! This particular way to connect with your Angels is wonderful and is truly a gift! To cultivate this gift, meditate and ask your Angels to clear any residual (gross and sticky) energy from your Third Eye Chakra, located between your eyebrows. When this energy is out of whack you will notice that you have a hard time ‘seeing’ clearly. Like it’s not focused enough. For me, when I was scared of Clairvoyance, I saw lower and negative energies that were manifestations of my fear. I got rid of the fear, and haven’t seen them since! So don’t be afraid! Especially those of you who were brought up to believe that it is evil…let that belief go, breathe, and be happy! Happy ‘Seeing’!
Claircognizance
This is when you have a very clear thought that is sent from Heaven and your Angels. This is another amazing way that the Angels will connect with you. If you are having a hard time with a project, or a job, person, or even a pet, you can ask the Angels for ideas and then be open to what you receive from them! This also works when we pray for guidance. Our prayers are often answered in the form of ideas and thoughts. So we have to make sure that we are always on our toes to receive those answers! These answers come from your Crown Chakra located at the top of your noggin. When this is balanced and in line, you are in constant communication with the Divine and you let it guide your words thoughts and actions in every way. When this particular chakra is out of whack, you are going have those negative, degrading, sad, and useless thoughts that aren’t self serving but rather are detrimental to your spirit. Like Clairvoyance, cultivating this gift can be done through meditation. Asking the Angels, once again, to remove residual energies from that Crown Chakra. There is so much to be said for Claircognizance and it’s ability to deepen your relationship with the Angels is truly profound. I feel that this gift is often glossed over when it is one of the most crucial ways of connecting with Angels, Guides, and the Divine itself!
Clairaudience
I love this one. It is my primary sense when I connect with Angels, Departed loved ones, and other energies. This is when you hear clearly, the guidance from your Angels. This one actually took me aback when it happened the first time because I was so caught up in wanting to ‘see’ them that I didn’t much think about ‘hearing’ them! I have to say, it is amazing when you get messages this way. And all you have to do is ask your Angels to whisper to you what they want you to know. This is an particularly interesting gift because once you open yourself up to it, the Angels can be little chatter-boxes! They are always telling you what you need to do, giving you advice, and sometimes just saying ‘Hi!’. Be careful that you when you ask to connect with your Angels through Clairaudience that you are protecting your energy as well. Your Ego loves to trip you up when you begin to open yourself up to guidance from your Angels. They will never say anything negative, degrading, or hurtful to you or about you. If this happens then immediately ask that your energy, and the energy around you, be cleared.
Clairsentience
This is the last of the “Clairs” . This is all about FEELING! When I conduct Mediumship readings and a Spirit is proud of the Client, they make me feel proud and happy! This a beautiful gift because it can literally give you hope and peace. If you are stressed out, just ask your Angels for feelings of peace and happiness. They WILL come through for you! Pay attention to everything you feel (if you are a Cancer, this is easy haha) once you ask for guidance and just let it flow through you! It’s just that simple!
Tarot/Oracle Cards
One more way to connect with Angels is the one I use every single day. Tarot and Oracle Cards, Angel oriented or not, are a wonderful way to get guidance! The greatest this about this method is that it can ‘trigger’ any one, or ALL, of the gifts mentioned above! Every single person on earth has the gifts that I have talked about, it just takes practicing them! Tarot and Oracle cards have such an amazing source of inspiration for myself and millions of people. The Angels can use these as well if you let them! Sit quietly, get rid of distractions, breathe and center yourself, ask your Angels a question, shuffle the deck until you feel the need to stop, and draw a card! It is that simple! If you are interested in this method but don’t have any decks of your own, I HIGHLY suggest the Archangel Power Tarot Cards and The Archangel Oracle Cards, both by Doreen Virtue. They are AMAZING at helping you connect with your Angels!

Worry? Or Rise?
Worry. Worry. Worry. Fear. Doubt. Worry. Worry. Worry.
What does any of the above words solve? Nothing.
What do they help with? Nothing.
Do they heal or hurt? Hurt.
The card that is closely associated to, if not the epitome of, the words above is the ‘Nine of Swords’. That is the card that I drew tonight to write about.
A few things are associated with this card:
- Insomnia
- Anxiety
- Worry
- Fear
- Doubt
If you find yourself in this space, it is so very crucial to remember to simply breathe. Don’t freak out when things seem like they are out of your control. They are out of your control for a reason. That reason is this: YOU ARE NOT IN CONTROL!
No matter how much you think you are, you are not. At all.
Now don’t freak out on me here but think about it, we plan our lives before we come to earth. We plan every major event that we face. Now, along the way we have choices about the minor things in life, sometimes even things that are major to us. But these ‘Majors’, are simply non negotiable. They happen. We are not in control of those things. So when they do happen, we have a choice: Embrace it or Run from it.
If you embrace it, you will see a side of life you never knew was possible. You will finally ‘see’ that wonderful, brilliant light that is you. If you run from it, you will continue to feel hopeless, lost, and anxious for A LOT longer but you will get to that same point of enlightenment. You will just be even more battered and bruised when you do.
So, it is your choice..

Spiritual Gifts Spread!!
This spread is one that I made while in the Tarot Foundations 2 course at Biddy Tarot. I love this Spread so much! It was so insightful for me, and I know it will be for you as well. I posted this on my Page, but I wanted to put it in a Blog so you guys will be able to find it easier, and I am going to explain a bit more about it as well.
So this Spread is set up with 2 columns of 4 Cards, read from left to right, as you can see by the Numbers on each card.
This can be used with Tarot or Oracle cards (even BOTH!)
Lets say you have 2 not-so-happy cards across from each other. What would that mean here?
Let’s say it’s the 9 of swords and and the 3 of Swords in the position of Clairvoyance.
This could mean a couple things but most likely suggests that there may be a degree of fear or worry regarding what you will see and that that fear is crippling you from achieving the purpose that you desire.
So, don’t fret when you see the challenging cards! They are there to help you! :)

The Devil!
The Devil.
-I apologize for some of the language in advance-
This is not going to be a post full of flowery goodness, heads up! haha
Throughout time, The Devil has invoked fear, anger and been the blame behind pretty much every wrongdoing ever.
A little bit about ‘The Devil’:
Christians believe that the Devil was once an Angel, an Archangel actually, named Lucifer. He rebelled against God and now is wandering the early looking for people to deceive and take to Hell on Judgement day.
I most definitely, with respect however, call ‘bullshit’ on that whooolllle idea. All of it. Every last bit of it. I don’t believe that The Devil really even exists. Humans are capable of enough evil without some mythical guy running around causing panic and chaos. I have no tolerance or patience for it.
Let me assure you: There is no Devil. Everything is fine. Go about your business.
Alright, enough of that. The reason I talked about that is because The Devil Card in Tarot gets such a bad wrap. People get scared of it. They don’t know how to accurately tune into the power and wisdom that this card has to offer.
The Devil in Tarot could mean many things. It could mean that you are too bound to the material aspects of life, a slave to trends and fashions. It could indicate addiction as well, overindulgence in pleasures to the point of ruin such as sex, alcohol, fame, money, and drugs. Geez, that sounds horrible doesn’t it? Enough to almost make you want to stop reading this right now and throw away The Devil card from every deck you own! However, before we go off the deep end, let’s continue talking about this card.
You may saying “Andrew, why would this card be one of your favorites when it has such negative meanings?” Here is my answer: The Devil talks about human nature. It talks about the Ego, and being a slave to thoughts that hold us back and keep us from our true potential! Going back to Human Nature, we are all pure creations made of light, in the image of God (or whoever you like to worship or pray to)! This card is a call to RISE UP and not be afraid of who we truly are!
Our Ego has one job, to keep us from reaching our true potential by employing tactics or fear, worry, stress, negativity, addiction, greed, anger, bitterness, and resentment to keep us trapped in a low vibration so that we won’t receive that guidance we need from heaven!
The Devil isn’t bad, nor is it negative. It simply a kick in the ass for you and I when we need it, when we are stifled by the cares and concerns of the physical world when it drags us down.
So, what is hold you back? What is The Devil wanting to show you? Are you feeling trapped? Are you self sabotaging? Are you speaking, thinking, and feeling from a negative space, causing self fulfilling prophecies? Are you repeating lies to yourself that are keeping you from your true power and potential?
If you answered ‘Yes’ to any of these, here is some tough love: Cut that shit out. You are ONLY hurting yourself. No matter how hard to cling to bitterness and anger and negativity, it will NOT get you where you want to be. So stop it.
Ask Archangel Michael and Archangel Jeremiel to shield you from negativity and show you areas that need changing in your life, body, mind, and spirit. After this, how you proceed is your choice and yours alone.

Patience is a Virtue...but still sucks
Patience is a Virtue…
But let’s get real. Waiting sucks. Waiting for what you really desire is really hard. It is a cruel trick from the universe that we can’t have what we want, when we want it. But you have to think about it like this: What would you do if you never had to wait for anything? You and I would probably become a bit of an ass….just being real.
The inspiration behind this post is the ‘7 of Pentacles’. I have grown pretty attached to this card, and I still have to say that I still suck at waiting and being patient. It’s a human thing, and I am working on it….stop judging me haha.
For real though, this card is not just about patience and planting the seeds that will grow, this is about having the right type of attitude while you wait.
I heard a preacher I used to L-O-V-E say this, and I still wholeheartedly agree: “Patience isn’t waiting, it’s how you act while you wait”.
So, what are you waiting on? A job? A relationship? Money? Remember that how you act while you wait for it determines how fast you will get it! Thoughts, words, actions, and feelings have tremendous power to deter our goals or speed them toward us.
We just passed the New Moon, so we are in a time of crazy manifestation! So you have to be sure that you are high vibe-ing, and getting your spiritual stuff together! Whatever you are putting your focus and attention on is what you are bringing to you, that is a cold, hard, fact.
How do you raise your vibration?
- Being Grateful
- Meditation
- Praying
- Laughing
- Listening to happy music
- Complimenting people
- Shielding yourself in the light of your favorite color to protect your energy
- Journaling
- Talking to your Angels
- Playing with your pets
- Spending time with friends
The list goes on and on….but basically says this : DO WHAT YOU LOVE!! That is the quickest way to a High Vibration!
If you are thinking about negative things, then your life is pretty much going to suck….just being honest…
However, if you are bring positive, then your life is going to reflect that positive and the Law of Attraction will bring what you are putting out into the Universe!

Blog post time, again!
I have two cards today, ‘The Empress’ and ‘Be You’.
Living authentically is something that has been coming up a lot for a lot of people. Authenticity is honoring all sides and aspects of yourself in a way that is freeing and liberating to you mentally, spiritually, and physically.
The Empress comes to us as a reminder to nurture ourselves and embrace that feminine energy of receptivity and love. We all want to manifest money, abundance, and prosperity in the physical world, but what about in our spirits? Everything that we see on the outside is a direct reflection of what is going on inside of us. There is a song by Alanis Morissette called “Underneath”, and it is literally my jam (find it linked below) because it talks about the direct correlation between our heart and the physical world.
The Empress is a gorgeous card, a woman who is in touch with her power and her creativity and her light. You can benefit from her wisdom even if you are a male, so get that notion out of your mind, right now (shakes finger). Be prepared for a lot of work ahead, you are getting tons of guidance right now that is unlocking the person that you want to be and person that Universe says you already are. This guidance is meant to be acted on, not sat around and played with.
‘Be You’ is telling us that it is indeed a challenge to live authentically, and that it is imperative we take every opportunity to be our true selves.
*Example* I recently got a new District Leader at work and she asked what brought me to DC. I had the option to either say“my roommate and I moved up her for ‘xyz’” or “my boyfriend and I moved up here for ‘xyz’”.
Being gay isn’t something that I advertise, not that I am ashamed in any way, shape, or form, because I honestly don’t give a shit haha, but I just don’t like to throw it in people’s face, it isn’t necessary to me. But I had the option to care, or not to care. And I decided not to care, and it felt really good!!! So that is my example**

Get Moving...
Hello Lovely people!
So I promised to blog more often, so here I am...again...haha. I try to write things with substance that don't waste your time, so I am going to actually talk about things now haha.
I was shuffling my Lumina Tarot deck, which I do whenever I am sitting at the table in my spare time, and I wanted to pull a card, and write about it. So I drew the 'Maiden of Cups'. This is traditionally the Page of Cups, for those not familiar with Tarot.
The message of this card is to pay attention to and, most importantly, TRUST the information that your Higher Self is giving you. This is a time of new beginnings, and your inner child is influencing you right now so you may be starting to see things and believe things that you once simply wrote off.
Whatever ideas you are getting, you are supported in bringing them to life! Just make sure that you are fully dedicated to idea or project before you share it with others. This prompts a question: What is this card telling you personally? What dreams, projects, or goals have seemed unreachable in the past? Journal this out if you need to.
Sometimes we lose sight of our dreams and ambitions because life just seems to toss us around like a rag doll, leaving us feeling beaten, bruised, and incapable of achieving greatness.
This is B.S.! You have got what it takes to do more than you have ever dreamed of, and don't let one person tell you anything else. You are an amazing, confident, all around badass!
GO FOR WHAT YOU WANT!!
